Our Mission:

The mission of the Extension Foundation is to secure funding that supports the core programs and effective operation of Cornell Cooperative of Monroe County.

What is the Foundation?

The Foundation is a separate 501c organization and serves as the primary fundraising and long term fund management entity for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County (CCE-MC)

When and why was it founded?

The Foundation was formed in 1983 as an organization committed to support the programs of CCE-MC

What does the Foundation do?

  • It acts as the primary fundraising and development agent for CCE of Monroe County
  • It provides additional resources to assist CCE-MC staff initiatives that are not part of the core operating budget
  • The Foundation conducts an annual “Friends of Extension” fundraising campaign.
  • It is planning to develop an endowment that will generate income to provide on-going financial support for the programs of CCE-MC

Goals/Future Impacts:

Our Goal: Securing Extension’s Next Century…The Centennial Campaign: The Foundation is launching the 2013 CCE-MC Centennial Campaign – “$100 for 100 years”. Our goal is to secure the next century of CCE-MC’s service to Monroe County by raising funds to help create significant new or improved Extension programs.  Help us celebrate the significant
contributions that CCE-MC has made to our community over the past 100 years by contributing $1 or more for each of CCE-MC’s 100 years of service.  Let your passion for Extension be your guide – help create a strong future for it through your generous contribution.
