We provide information based on the conditions and needs of this region, using research and experience-based information from Cornell University, and our locally-based professional staff. We provide services to help you with issues related to lawns, trees, and vegetable, fruit or ornamental gardens. Your questions and program are addressed through a number of methods.
The Garden Helpline is staffed by trained Master Gardener volunteers who answer your gardening and pest problem questions.
We have also added the capability to submit questions on-line 24 hours a day.
Professional staff in our Diagnostic Lab identifies insects, plant diseases and weed problems, offering the latest management methods along with background and life cycle information.
Basic or comprehensive Soil Tests can be performed to assist you.
Horticultural information is provided through a number of publications, including Fact Sheets, which provide up to date summaries of different plant and pest problems.
We also provide Presentations on horticultural topics by our staff and Master Gardeners on subjects of interest to your group.
The Master Gardeners are volunteers who have received extensive instruction in horticulture topics, and provide required community service through our office upon completion of the training.
