How do you play boxing?

Boxing is simple. Two boxers but only one winner. If you can spot who wins the fight, you’re in a good position to place a bet on the match. However, in addition to betting on the winner, there are several types of bets you should be aware of. Basically, odds on boxing can be divided into the following categories:

• Betting on the winning method
• Betting on the rounds
• Betting on the number of rounds
• Betting on live boxing

Bet on the winner

If you know a lot about boxing, you might want to bet on the winner of a boxing match. Here, you’ll often find the highest value by betting on the underdog, but it takes a bit to know where the surprise is lurking. If you’re more of a betting on the favourite, you might consider betting on several boxers on the same ticket. That way, you’ll get higher overall odds, but at the expense of the amount of outcomes to go up. A final option is to bet on a draw.

Bet on the winning method

Another way to increase the odds is to bet on the winning method. Here, in addition to choosing the boxer, you also have to choose how the boxer wins. Here you get higher odds, as you have to choose between several possible outcomes.

For example, if you think the British superstar, Anthony Joshua, will beat his next opponent – this could be a lower-ranked boxer – you are likely to get relatively low odds on the strong Brit winning. However, you can increase the odds by betting that he wins the fight by knockout (or technical decision). There will be more details involved, and therefore the odds will be higher.

There are a total of five outcomes when you bet on the wind method:

Betting on rounds

Here, it doesn’t matter who wins, because all that matters is that you get it right in terms of how many rounds are played. This can be a good bet type in those matches where a quick knockout is on the cards. Likewise, betting on the number of rounds can be an obvious bet if you think the fight will go all the way to the end.

Bet on live boxing

Live boxing is perfect if you want to watch the fight before placing your bet. Here you get excitement right away, and it can therefore be a great way to take entertainment to a new level. With live betting, you can bet on a wide range of outcomes during the fight. This is good news if you can see the match going in a certain direction. As with bets placed before the start of the match, you can bet on the winner of the match, the winning method and the number of rounds, among other things.

What happens in the event of a draw?

It is also possible to bet on a draw, but it is rare that a boxing match ends without a winner. However, it can happen in cases where the judges cannot agree on a winner. If you bet on a winner and the fight ends in a draw, you will only have your bet cancelled if a draw was not an option. If a draw was an option, then all other bets on the match are lost in the event of a draw.
